Overview
ENERTRAG Vietnam is a subsidiary of ENERTRAG SE Germany, an IPP established in 1998 focusing on the renewable energy sector. To date, ENERTRAG has developed and installed more than 1600 MW of wind energy capacity. ENERTRAG globally employs more than 800 people and currently operates 1000+ turbines around the world. ENERTRAG has projects in Germany, France, Poland, South Africa, Ghana, Namibia and now Vietnam.
ENERTRAG develops, finances, constructs, owns and operates wind farms and other renewable energy systems in its core markets of Germany and France. In addition, ENERTRAG expects its activities in Poland to make a significant contribution in the coming years, due to the development of a pipeline of around 300 MW including the necessary grid access. The same applies to ENERTRAG’s South Africa business, where the company established local presence in early 2017 and has in the meantime accumulated a pipeline of 2 GW of wind projects, most of them together with a strong local partner.
ENERTRAG operates and maintains almost 3000 MW of own wind turbines as well as for third parties throughout Europe from its control center, which guarantees 24/7 surveying and optimal turbine availability.
Leading by innovation
Driven by innovation, ENERTRAG is pioneering the power-to-gas industry and in 2011 opened the world’s first hybrid wind to hydrogen powerplant near their headquarters in Dauerthal, northern Germany. Adding to this ENERTRAG has developed: PowerSystem, a software tool for operating and maintaining wind turbines around the world; System Technologies including Airspex® and procandela®, lighting and radar system aimed at reducing the visual impact of wind turbines at night in addition to other conventional lighting systems; Gridion® emergency power systems (UPS); and innovative grid solutions for energy injection and transmission for a variety of renewable sources – whether its biogas, wind, or heat power, ENERTRAG is an expert in building systems that tap the potential of renewable energies.

Our commitment
In 2020, ENERTRAG incorporated its Vietnam subsidiary in HCMC to start project development activities, focusing on onshore wind projects in Vietnam market. ENERTRAG covers the complete value chain of renewable energy projects. This includes all stages of a project life cycle from planning to decommission. ENERTRAG has the resources, skills and experience to deliver all aspects of the construction work associated with installing turnkey power plants.
